About the role:
- To engage with residents to promote effective recycling and increased recycling participation
- To work as part of the project team to deliver an integrated community engagement programme
- Contribute to the achievement of the communication team’s action plan and objectives
Principle responsibilities:
- Deliver community outreach activities to encourage residents and other key stakeholders to improve waste and recycling behaviour
- Develop and deliver projects to target recyclers in key segments of the community
- Respond to resident service enquiries to resolve any issues and improve services
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- Educated to 'A' level or equivalent or 2 years work experience
- Full driving licence - licences from overseas must be converted to UK
- Passion for recycling and environmental matters
- Good communication skills with a good standard of written and spoken EnglishStrong organisational, planning and multi-tasking skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to work outside normal office hours e.g. early mornings evenings and at weekends
