PA/Carer required

Job Description

Female PA required to join team for disabled woman in Herne Hill, SE24 area. You would be working double handed with another member of the team.

Mainly weekends only but also covering Weekdays when other carers are on leave or sick – 2 hours per day – 60 minutes mornings and 60 minutes evening.

Normal hours – Saturday and Sunday – 2 hours each day for weekend @ £9.15 per hour

Weekday hours, when required – Monday to Friday – 2 hours each day @ £9.15 per hour

There is some flexibility called for. Morning hours 9.30 – 10.30 am weekends, 9 – 10 am weekdays. The evening slots would usually be around6 pm. There may be additional hours to be worked and the client may ask for support at around 10 pm a few times a month.

The personal care side of the package is as follows: Managing toileting needs (2 staff required) Managing personal hygiene (2 staff required) Being appropriately clothed (2 staff required)

When applying please be aware that some of the tasks are quite physically demanding.

Again, the client expects a degree of flexibility from her PAs in their duties; and in addition to personal care would expect them to assist with: Maintaining a habitable home e.g. cleaning bathroom and toilet, kitchen, bedroom, laundry, mopping floors, etc although a cleaner has also been employed Managing and maintaining nutrition e.g. preparing food (including meats), cooking, washing up, etc although client usually partakes of a family evening meal which is cooked by a family member.

Just wanted to reccommend a plumber I had recently. I don't normally post reviews (even on Amazon!) but thought it only fair as I found him on here. I asked him for a quote for quite a big job and he advised me to try something simpler first rather than spash out money unnecessarily. Great advice, great job, saved myself some money. If you need a pet sitter/dog walker I can highly recommend Ricky Dyer who runs The Pet Manny [www.thepetmanny.co.uk]. He was recommended by a friend (of Love Herne Hill fame) and has looked after my cats whilst I've been away on holiday a few times. He is a lovely man, 100% trust worthy, very friendly and professional. He walks dogs and provides day care as well as other services. All his reviews have been 5 star so far on both Facebook [www.facebook.com/thepetmannyUK/reviews] and Yell. I can't recommend him enough!

In case anyone is looking for interior designer in the area, I'd wholly recommend Zoe Murphy of Stealth Design.

I contacted Zoe when we wanted to update the look of our living room but were not sure exactly what to do. I'm really interested in design and usually know what I want in general terms but felt I needed help. Zoe has helped me enormously - she really understood what I wanted and was happy to take my lead. When I didn't know what to do she had brilliant ideas and was happy to guide me through it.

She taught us tips and tricks to get the best out of the space and in addition to helping with the layout she was great at suggesting ideas that I'd would have never thought of. She's very good working to budget - she always had solutions to fit out spending options.

Zoe was great at putting together an overall schemes and took everything in her stride - even my insistance on a bright yellow amazing sofa (which I love and she made amazing use of). She just made everything work and sent me the most fantastic links, guided me when I wasn't sure what would work and was always careful that we get what we wanted. We are so happy with our new living room, it's wonderful.

What better location could there be for a special outdoor Halloween screening of the terrifying movie - ‘The Conjuring’. 

Doors open at 5.30pm, so arrive early to grab your food and drinks. The movie will begin screening at 7.00pm. 

Please come prepared for all weathers, tents and umbrellas will not be permitted. 

Parking onsite is limited, however unrestricted parking is available on the surrounding roads. Please plan ahead.
